A goal without a plan is just a wish

A Goal Without A Plan Is Just A Wish....

So, I was looking on Google for tips on setting weight loss goals. I came across this saying and it kind of really hit home for me so I took this opportunity to actually sit down and set some goals for myself.

First goal is to learn to love and accept myself for who I am, and to stop body shaming myself. I am truly my own worst critic.

Second goal is to stop making excuses and playing the blame game as to why I make the choices that I make and to start taking responsibility for myself.

Third goal: Start with setting small goals so I don't become overwhelmed.

Current Weight: 260 lbs

Goal Weight:  140 lbs

I have a total of 120 lbs that I want to lose. My small goal is to lose a least 2 lbs a week.

Monday: Cardio
Tuesday: Shoulders, Back, Chest, Walk 30 Minutes
Wednesday: Abs, Glutes
Thursday: Rest Day (Walk 30 Minutes)
Friday: Rest Day ( Walk 30 Minutes)
Saturday: Upper Body, Cardio
Sunday: Lower Body, Walk 30 Minutes

I know things don't always go as planned but I'm just going to roll with it. I may have to make a few adjustments. We'll see.

About Me

Hey everyone, before I start blogging about my weight loss journey, I thought I'd take some time to introduce myself.

My name is Melissa, I am 37 years old, I've been married for 19 years and have 4 handsome son's ages 18, 17, 15, and 11.  I am a stay at home mom and I homeschool my boys.  My oldest actually graduated this summer.

I have been struggling with my weight pretty much my entire life. I've tried a lot of weight loss fads to which I have struggled to keep up with. I have actually lost 100 lbs but then put it back on due to poor choices made with my diet. I also have hypothyroidism and high cholesterol.

I want/need to lose this weight not only for my poor self esteem issues, but also to be all around healthy. I'm tired and irritable all the time and I don't like it. I want to feel more energetic and happy again. My time starts now.

If you decide to follow my story, thank you. If not, that's fine too. I am choosing to blog for myself and to be my own accountability. Also, to hopefully inspire others along the way.
